Roberto Martinez & Arouna Kone Reunited as Everton pay out £6m

Arouna Kone closely follows behind Martinez at Everton. Roberto singed the forward from Levante last summer to help bolster Wigan's Weak forward line. He made some good impressions on his first season in the league however Martinez was not going to easily give up on the Ivory Coast player, and not long after becoming new Merseyside Manger brought in with him Arouna.

The 29 year old will be singed to Everton for 3 years, the same as his contract with Wigan however the release clause in his contract was met and later the contract sorted. Kone said to BBC, "Every player dreams of playing for a bigger club and coming here is a big step up for me."

Some people believe Kone may not be good enough for a team as good as Everton. What's your view, a waste of money, or is there something else Roberto saw in Kone we haven't?

Grant Holt Joins the Latics for £2m

Well, with Arouna Kone gone, Grant Holt is straight in as the replacement. Owen Coyle's New signing will join the 6 other players to have signed for recently relegated side Wigan Athletic.

Owen Coyle's response to his new signing was, "He will definitely bring something new to the table that we were missing in the squad."
I completely agree with this statement as I believe Wigan's main issue last season was the lack of goals. The set of defenders at the club were strong, and some great midfielders. However I you watch teams like Southampton and Swansea who survive most times, they seem to concede very often. So my conclusion is that they try to out score rather than fully knuckle down defensively. Maybe this is the way to stay up in the prem?

I also believe their set of strikers weren't the strongest, and although Arouna Kone was a hit with a lot of Premier  League fans I don't believe he did what they needed at Wigan. However I believe holts the man they need. Holt is a naturally talented striker and finishes for fun, he can hold up the ball an battle against almost any defender. The main argument for Holt is that he proved well in the Premier League so he surely can only do better in the League down?

Christian Benteke to leave Aston Villa

Just recently 22 year old Aston Villa forward Christian Benteke told Aston Villa that he hopes to no longer be a part of the team at the end of the transfer window. He said himself "If Aston Villa say I must stay, I won't necessarily accept that.

Villa have said they are happy to let him go when a good enough offer comes in for him and the time given to reply is reasonable enough for them to evaluate it. Paul Lambert the Claret and Blue manager has said he would hope with 3 years still on Benteke's contact that he sticks to the club for the next years as they build a strong squad, if a deal isn't done before the transfer window shuts. Lambert admits he would like Christian to be a part of that team.

If he leaves what team do you recon will be the team he goes too, and who do you think will be interested in him now after his request? Leave your comments below...

This season the papers have talked constantly about the possibility of the Portugal Midfielder returning to Former team Manchester United where he became the star he is. Liverpool say no to shock attempt to sweep Suarez

A surprise offer for Uruguayan forward Luis Suarez was made today. Liverpool's star man managed to put away 23 goals in 33 games last season proving himself one of the best in the league and remained big talk every week.

As we know Suarez has let Liverpool know that he wouldn't say know to a change of scenery. And when asked how he would feel about a move to Real Madrid he replied "it would be difficult to say no."

A £30 million bid was made for the 26 year old, Arsenal have this season tried to be involved in the transfer war more this season, however this was the first we heard of interest from the Gunners for Suarez. The main talk was of him moving to Spanish stars Real Madrid.

No Place like home - Rooney to become Legend

The on-going Wayne Rooney leaving situation may have finally come to an end. Sir Alex's replacement came out in his first public meeting since taking over from the long serving Manchester United Legend picked Moyes. Questions of the Rooney situation soon came flying out, as you can expect. One person asked the New United Gaffer, "Has Wayne categorically said 'I don't want to leave?" Moyes replied with, "I can categorically tell you Wayne Rooney is training fantastically well."

The fact David didn't actually say Wayne was staying suggests that nothing has been confirmed yet however from what he has said we understand that Rooney is looking likely to stay after all the reports of his fantastic career at the English champions coming to an end.

Norwich's Veteran Forward Set For Wigan?

Reports from BBC have said that 32 year old striker of Norwich City is soon to have a medical at recently relegated Wigan Athletic, after the two teams came to an agreed fee for him.

Grant Holt played 38 goals for premier league side Norwich City last Season but tooked away just 8 goals. For a Forward of his calibre we probably would of expected more.

Grant Holt Joined Norwich in 2009 from Shrewsbury. If the deal is completed then Grant would join New Wigan manger Owen Coyle's 6 other new signings this season.
